Allow me to thank my mother.
With the best of intentions, she'd take a magnet to our Jurassic Park III VHS and edit out the deaths. Upon watching the DVD version, her plan was foiled, but an idea was planted: Editing affects the experience.
After many self-directed YouTube videos & an accidental avant-garde film education, the love & desire to master that craft has only grown. Whether it be stealing a reaction, pulling a sneaky splitscreen, or total reconstruction, I'm obsessed with solving the "unsolvable" problems in the cutting room.
